Sexchar room - Updating a magellan gps

Whatever was in this forum is lost forever (and no, the web archive didn't save the posts, only the thread subjects).

This was a scam and a serious case of thievery, and I would not recommend this crooked company to anyone.

Magellan GPS 5230T-LM effectively killed my unit --- support is a bad joke --- told me they don't support Win10 & said only solution was for me to buy and install win7. Their new web based Content Manager did only to update maps - was useless since the update was so old.

Case in point: grabbing Garmin's maps required no fewer than three software downloads and about an hour of waiting for the 2GB of map data to download and install.

It can be a bitter pill to swallow, but it's a price we'd gladly pay to make sure that we actually get where we're trying to go.

You'd have to order your update on CD, DVD, or SD card and wait for it to arrive in the mail.
